Saturday night. No friends tonight, no parties, no walking around in the park. What could you do? Just you, your big and messy room, the TV and the computer. Looking for the remote control? You'll never find it under the layers of books and clothes on your desk. What choice do you have? Some popcorn and a pizza while watching a movie. Searching for interesting ones and suddenly you see 'I'll believe you'.
Romantic, happy ending, loving pair? Not at all. Catchy title and your imagination goes astray!
A creative, weird guy from a small city runs a broadcast after one o'clock in the night because his unpopular talk show had little audience if at all. Dale Sweeny was his name and found himself on the brink of unemployment.His show tried to convince people to open themselves to public and relate the most unbelievable events.He would be there to believe you.
One night after he receives a call from a 'mad' woman, saying that she saw an UFO, he starts to receive calls every night at 1.13 from the most misterious creature around. The calls lasted 5 minutes everytime and they consisted in incomprehensible messages in a new and odd language.His audience begins to rise and the idea of finding an UFO or maybe an alien in the town is imposed at the radio.Next thing that happens is that two unexpected federal agents show up to question Sweeny and give the matter great importance. Then robberies take place in the area and the local policeman observes that only unimportant things are stolen.Dale makes a connection between the federal agents, who looked like the most funniest versions of Man in Black, the robberies and the queer alien who talked in his unintelligible language.
As everyone starts to believe that an UFO really landed in the city, the alien is caught in his last stealing attempt and proves to be a normal human being. What happens to Sweeny next and his reputation? His dreams and desire to think that unbelievable stuff do exist are ruined.
But the story doesn't end here. Guess what? The fake alien is connected to time travel. But you'll have to see the movie and figure out for yourself the end.
